Everywhere you go… around our house. Patricias been asking to decorate for Christmas for days. Being holiday purists though, we told her she had to wait until after thanksgiving dinner. Before the pie had even been eaten, we were switching the front door wreaths. By the end of the night, we had the tree up & partially trimmed, a tiny pink tree in the playroom (per the decorating advice of the 2 year old), a winter welcome mat, a homemade wintery welcome sign on the side door, garland hung on the porch, & copper christmas tree pans in the kitchen.
It’s no secret I’m a Christmas kind of girl. My daughters are sung to sleep with Adeste Fideles instead of Rock A Bye Baby. My Grandmas farm on Christmas eve, with the family all gathered around is my absolute favorite place in the world. We bought this house, in large part, because we could just see it all decked out with a tree in the front windows, stockings on the fireplace, lights hanging all over the front porch. We wont get to buy enough decorations to fully do up the front this year, but we will get there eventually! For now, here are some photos of how things look at the moment. Notice all the pretty, breakable ornaments are at top of the tree. 😉
