All of our outside decorations are down & in their boxy homes for 10 months. The tree will come down tomorrow. It was an amazing Christmas with my little family of 4, capped off with a beautiful mass for Epiphany today. It feels so odd to see something that has been great end, but there is a hint of relief about life moving on. Sometimes knowing there is a definite end to things makes that ending easier. Sometimes, not having time to prepare for endings is good, too. A nice kick in the rear. A chance to deepen faith & offer praise to God, even when things seem down. Christmas time & its splendor are done for now, but the excitement & hope of a new year abounds! Adios Christmas season. Excited for the future. 😉
