Turns out that you have to have (or be) an EPA certified lead-based paint remediation contractor in order to remove the walls covered in lead-based paint. So, our goal to save money by doing the majority of the demo work ourself has been dashed, primarily by the potential $32.5K/day fine from the EPA if we don’t do it by the book.
Let’s hope the demo cost is not too high…
